Venning's is a local neighbourhood café.

After fifteen years of working in hospitality, I wanted to put all of that experience into something simple, pared back and accessible. Somewhere we hoped everybody would enjoy.

Bread. Baked. Daily. isn't a slogan. It means we only serve bread we have made ourselves that morning. The buns for our burgers and subs, the muffins, and, in time, the milk bread for sandwiches. Always made by us. Every day. No compromise.

We make as much as we can ourselves because it gives us control over flavour.

The food takes inspiration from American diners and New York Jewish delis, interpreted through local produce and straightforward hospitality.

Laura and I met when we were seventeen. After several years living in London we came home to build Venning's beside the Railway, a place that's become a real part of the local community.
